Lightened flyweel pully combo

i have read that older year wrxs would get a misfire cel with the use of both lightened flywheel and crank pully is this the same for the 08? i have a 12.9lb flywheel on its way and am gonna order pully if it aint gonna cause problems.

Even if it does cause a misfire code, it's not actually a misfire. Just delete the code.

Justin you only get the CEL in the 2.0L models because of the single flywheel position sensor, they attempted to rectify that issue with the tune in the 05 but ended up just putting two sensors in the 06+ just like the STi, anyways if you stay above 13lbs on the 02-05 you usually didn't get a CEL anyways

Thanks for the update bosco. So I have no worries and are there any other downfalls? I know the revs will also drop quicker but how much quicker and will it hinder performance?

They'll drop pretty quick, because the engine is revving freer it will benefit performance and but it will be a tremendous difference to adjust to in daily driving situations

This it an extreme adjustment driving with just the flyweel. Pulling out requires a little more gas then normal once clutch starts to grab or rpms die. im guessing because the loss in momentum. I have owned a stick for 10 years and have never stalled so much.
