I Have Never Been So Mad! Erz Sucks

well if you guys remember i bought a catless ERZ DP. Im really picky and i didnt like the quality at all. the 3in pipe stuck out the back flange and i would of had to grind it down which is BS because ERZ should of seen that and took care of it before shipping. next the turbo flange didnt sit flush and would have leaked and the hole cut out didnt match the gasket at all and just poor R&D. also they didnt include the CEL fix like i asked!

well i got a second DP, a catted one this time!! i didnt want catted!! and still no CEL fix. turbo flange does sit flush now and the pipe doesnt stick out the back flange but the cut out is still all wrong and im pretty sure it would leak because it wouldnt crush down on a stock crush ring.

well i didnt want to wait or pay more for the Perrin so since i only paid $175 for a $320 DP i desided to keep it. if it leaked then i would deal with that down the road.

well tonight i break out the tools. spend 2 hours getting the stock DP off because the top nut and bolts wouldnt come off. i ended up cutting them off since ERZ did include 2 new nuts, bolts and lock washers. well i get under the car, slid the ERZ on the bottom 3 threads and put the nuts on, put the bolt on for the middle mounting bracket and slid down to the DP to CBE section and what to my surprise do i see???????????/ the DP is over 5 inches to short!!!!!! i have never been more pissed in my life and so hateful to a company!! ERZ stuff is junk and no one should buy there crap! please let everyone you know not to buy there stuff!! trust me!!

????? What could this fit? The DP are nearly all identical on stock location turbos. Sorry for the hassle dude. Return that thing and get one of these if your tight on cash. It seals up fine.

TSUDO 08 09 Subaru WRX STi 3" 76mm Catless Downpipe:eBay Motors (item 370276672794 end time Nov-16-09 21:30:50 PST)

Mine was a divorced and I had to cut the flange out, but this one is bellmouth.

This sucks, man.
I hope the nuts and bolts work for the original DP.

I got a Perrin DP, and I had my mechanic install it for me (I am not handy). It took him 45 mins and a lot of cussing to get the top bolt out.... It's just tough to mess with that.

i have no idea!! just another mess up by them showing you how bad they suck. from the pics for the DP you linked you can see how much shorter it is. look at the middle mounting location and O2 sensor. you can see its 5-6 inches shorter

since the O2 can be put anywhere, the mounting location to end is 16 3/4in on the ERZ, that TSUDO is deffenently 20 or so

Not trying to sound like a d!ck, but this is why I dont recommend things like this to people. Ok so you wanted stage 2, you wanted a nice DP, then save for it, theres ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that. Im really sorry to hear about your misfortune(s), I hope that ERZ will refund your money at the least. And I hope that other people see this and start to rethink about how much they really care about there car.

If you can wait a while I can get a pic this afternoon. I need to put my skid back on anyway. Probably be about 8 hrs or so though.

not really. i had a great columbus dyno turner recommend them, no problems of any kind. also a NASCIO vender selling them with no problems who i bought it off of. so when everyone says its ok then why not?? its a freaking a peice of metal! downpipes shouldnt be more then $100, there ALL a rip off for sure! but unless you do it yourself you have to pay into the monopoly! if i had a tig welder or knew someone like i did 7 years ago id make my own like i did then.

Here's some terrible cell pics, didn't really know what you needed so I just snapped a few.

I got a suduko... Im sure i spelt that wrong but it matched up to the rest of the exhaust but not the mounting spots like the one by the tranny........ Ya not so happy about that at all. the quality of the welds were not the best but for 150 i could not beat that ( I know I should of saved the money, but I have not had one leak with it) other then then oh one other thing its only like 1-2 inch from my fire wall. I had a 3" hks and went to the bell mouth and the thing sticks off the back of the turbo alot more. but stuff happens when you start to mod your car.

It does when you dont buy quality parts. Thats not a very accurate statement at all.
