Also the location you live in can affect the MPG. THe WRX from San Antonio gets better MPG than northern states. I used to live in San Antonio and now live in Chicago. The MPG difference is easily 3-4 MPG. Same octane, but aparently it is fuel additives that suck MPGs.

If you were concerned about MPG you shouldn't have bought a performance car. My STi gets between 19 and 22mpg usually. I can granny shift and average about 25, I get 25 in the winter when the road is covered in snow/ice and I can only go 40mph with the acceleration of a minivan.

!Notfunny! I don't make enough money to pay for that gas bill.

My stock '08 has averaged 26mpg. I try to not go above 2500rpm and on the highway I set cruise @ 70-75mph.

Anyone notice that when they fill up a new tank and get on the highway if they cruise at 70 the trip computer reads 29mpg....not bad.

I've seen actual mpg's above 30 on road trips (not just what the gauge reads, I verified between miles driven and fuel pumped).. As long as you keep speed reasonable it's not very hard to do..

I drive about 4000 miles a year. It's easier to save gas by not driving than it is to get more mpg imho

I can average about 24-26MPG in my 326HP WRX. But like Mosc said I can feel lucky to get around 12-13 sometimes also.

You should definitely be getting more than 13mpg if you don't hit boost and your car is stock. How long have you had the car? Are you good with the stick shift or still getting used to it?

it doesnt matter if you have 2000cc injectors! MPG in normal driving is all in the tune (and of course your lead foot). if your tuner flows xxx amount of fuel in the tune for highway driving, everyone should get mid to high 20's. and thats factory A/F readings, mine is 14.5 i believe if im not in boost or under maybe 20% throttle. if not, then your tuner doesnt spend 2/3 of his time tuning on the street so you have an ALL around bad ass car.

Look up open/closed loop fueling.... That answers why you can still get good mileage as long as you stay off the go pedal.

I average about 21, changing gears around 4300, and of course the occasional pull here and there. No first gears pulls since I dont have an Sti tranny
