Yeah, sounds like you're all good man. You should be able to find a tag inside of the driver side door (on the car though, not the door) that tells you the build completion date and some others details, just for future reference. You'll definitely know if it's good when you get to 20,000 miles! Have fun!
The first several months of production had the potential for rod bearing failure due to some issues at the factory. Almost all the problem cars were built in the Jul-Aug 08 time frame. You can go search over in NASIOC for a whole long thread on the issue. There was at least 2 failures they saw in Sept 08 build dates as well.
Far as I know, there have not been any failures in a car that was built after Sept 08. If you do have a car in the affected build dates it does not mean your motor will fail- but there is a chance. Here is a link:
Well I'm at over 5500 miles and nothing bad has happened yet (knock on wood) and lost of the issues seem to have come up around 1-2k so hopefully I'm good. Guess we'll just see when I get around the 20k mark.

You should be good to go- mine was built March of 09. Subaru was pretty quick to find the problem and fix it. If something does go wrong, it will be covered by warranty and you will get a new longblock- which includes new turbo.
SmokinJoe just went through this last month and he stated the whole procedure was pretty painless- except for having to re-break in his motor. Most the time you can haggle with Subaru for a free extended warranty if this happens to you.
Yea but I don't think they will honor the warrenty since I have full exhaust and a tune. The tune I can always reflash back to stock but they will probably try to say it was the exhaust that made it brake if it does.

The service mgr. at the dealership i go to says if your car is modded and under warranty they note your your service acct. So i dont know if you get serviced at the dealership..but its something to keep in mind.
