Cobb stage 1 help

Alright here it goes, I am new to subaru's I just bought an 09 WRX Sedan, and COBB AP

I reflashed my factory map with the factory map on the AP, so i could keep it that way till my break in was finished. I live in Northen CA

Once it was done i used the dynometer function to test that power.
it came out prety high
295HP
302TQ
peak boost 15.7

So i used the replay, not reflash function and load the AZ/CA/NV stage 1 map
284HP
292TQ
15.1 boost

Replay function again General Stage 1 map
287HP
295TQ
15.1 PSI again

IDK what the problem is, any suggestions would be great. should i try to reflash to stage 1 instead of replay or will i get the same results? what should stock boost peak at? and what should stage 1 boost peak at?

thanks in advance for the help.

Those #'s are to the crank anyways... look about right (all of them). Here are the notes from COBB :

AZ/CA :

Description: Stage1 91 MTv100 - Intended for an otherwise stock 2009
WRX MT vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust, STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. 91 or 92 octane fuel. Boost
Targets: ~15.5psi peak boost pressure tapering down to ~11.5psi by
the 6700 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.

93OCT:

Description: Stage1 93 MTv100 - Intended for an otherwise stock 2009
WRX MT vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust, STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. 93 or 94 octane fuel. Boost
Targets: ~16.5psi peak boost pressure tapering down to ~12.5psi by
the 6900 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.

Get a boost gauge (unless you already have one). You are right about where you should be.

the only thing that seemed wierd was that all the readings were the highest with the stock map still read in. i reflashed to stage 1 and boost is up to 16.2 now. thanks for the help! hopefully stage 2 soon.

no pics yet it looks stock still, satin pearl white sedan

Did you "feel" a difference?

Are you guys reading psi from the AP only ?

Stage 1 is more of evened out map that fixes some fuel issues and gives a slight bump of power. Not a lot of power to the wheels...more to the crank than anything.
