You shouldn't need an impact gun, just use elbow grease and a small extension or a light hammer tap or two if you have to. I find that when I come across a stubborn bolt, if I step away for a moment, stare at it, cuss at it, get angry at it and return with a small boost of adrenaline, it usually loosens up. Ah I totally forgot about the rental option !Laugh!! I have Advance Auto and Auto Zone 1 minute apart from each others 3 minutes from my house lol. So if one doesn't have what I need, I go to the other. If they have one I may just buy it though, that way I have it when I need it again, if I do.

Has there been any issue with the studs coming out of the turbo, or is that not really a big deal? I have a little bit of worry that something will be heat fused together and won't go right.

That's ALWAYS a possibility

Reason why you take the o2's out when hot/warm and the DP out cool

If the studs come out/spin... just wrench em out reverse.

So pretty much just keep going and back the stud out all the way and just put it back in when installing the new dp?

Thanks all for you help with this. Installed the dp yesterday! Couldn't be happier with it. Install took longer than expected but I took my time to do it correctly.
BLAZE2099 and the RIOT act like this.
