COBB Catback exhaust?

Hey guys just bought a new 2008 WRX, I ordered a COBB downpipe I am wondering if there is any info of when COBB catbacks are being released. And also will other Catbacks fit with COBB downpipe. Not sure of the diameter piping. Thanks.

hope you got a cobb accessport with your downpipe as you aren't supposed to run a DP without a tune. As for other catbacks working with the DP some do and some don't. If I were you I would just wait for the cobb or spt cat back as those for sure will work with it.

Hey guys just an update: COBB DP fits stock flanges so i ordered a AVO catback exhaust as it fits stock as well. Just got my Accessport in today and flashed stage 1. Took her out for a little spin, BIG difference as to what I was used to. It gives the engine a little bit more throatiness and you can really hear the turbo spool up now. All in all I'd say it was a great investment and I can't wait for DP and other mods to arrive.

does cobb's state 2 map for the 08 require a full turbo back or just the downpipe? Something to look up. Your plumbing is considerably more narrow than the older WRX's

COBB's stage 2 map does not require a catback. It says it requires a DP and may run on stock catback. However it also states, unlock the true power of the WRX with a full turboback exhaust. Yea you can do stg2 with just a DP but I'd do full tb exhaust.

you talking 08 or in general? The 02-07's cat back is a hell of a lot bigger than the 08's... CBEs don't do much on 02-07 but there's serious gains on the 08

Mosc, not trying to be an a$$ but you mean CBE dont do much for the 02-07s right? The 08 CB portion is considerably smaller than previous years.

MOSC: yes, fixed. CBE, not DP

Yea I was referring to the 08. Not sure about 02-07. Theres so many twists and turns and a big ass muffler on the 5-dr hatch.. CBE is necessary in my opinion.
