Cat Back exhaust replacement question '11

Hey guys,

So i am running a 2011 WRX Sedan with Cobbs Stage 1 + SF Intake. I have been running this for almost a year and am very happy. I recently got rear ended, and my stock mufflers were bent. I spoke with the body shop (my buddy owns it) and he asked if i wanted another cat back exhaust, or just keep stock.

My initial reaction was to keep stock, and i know there wont be much performance differences since its just cat back, but should i upgrade?? I am truly not sure.

And if i replace, need suggestions, not too loud please.

THanks!

Cat backs are mostly for sound and doesn't add much power since the cat creates most the back pressure

Believe I have heard different for the newer ones, but not much gain though.
What's cheaper?
What are your plans for the car?
Do you want a touch more sound?

Sorry, should have mentioned that insurance would be covering the replacement. It is a leased car, I have about 2 and a half more years left. So i would have no stock exhaust anymore if i were to upgrade.

I understand there would be no power gain, since it would be just a cat back system. Just wanted to see some thoughts on whether it would be a good idea.

I am looking for a sound that is not loud, but can enhance the sound. I heard the Perrin, sounded pretty good to me. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Perrin is 2 single tips, is there anything comparable with quad tips?

Whoa, if it's a lease and you are not going to keep it... you will get a bill from the dealer if you put a Perrin, HKS/Aftermarket on there with no factory replacement.

Are you going to keep it?

That would suck being billed by the dealer, because then you're paying them more. That's why im going to wait till me payments are done or just about before I put a cat back in. Just my .02 cents there Vitesse don't pay the dealer more if you don't have too.

Is there something steering you away from buying it?
Or do you just like getting a new car, via lease, every so often?

I'm on my first lease as well, but with my caliber. At the end, I will buy it than trade it towards a truck. But the new Subaru I will buy.
It all comes down to personal preference I guess.
