goodluck hopefully it works out great for you
looking forward to seeing the results
how much cash have you droped on upgrades?
Id have to total that up for you later... I can't wait to see the results either! I'm on my way out the door to get the car tuned. Ill have some updates tonight.
Sweet Boost! Which is what you'll be saying later....as it kicks you into the seat. Haha...yeah, please update us. Inquiring minds will want to know.
We are all bolted up to the dyna pack and ready to start tuning. I threw a CEL on my way to Church's (Hit fuel cut at WOT in 5th). Even on stock mapping, the car pulled significantly harder to redline (3rd gear test)
303.3 whp @ 6123 rpm and 334.3 wtq @ 3073 rpm (17.31 psi @ 2981 rpm tapering to 14.76 psi @ 6500 rpm)
<< gains of 106.3 whp and 97.8 wtq over pre-prod>>
<<gains of 98.1 whp and 56.5 wtq over Stage 2.P2>>
<<gains of 70.7 whp and 0.8 wtq over Stage 2.C1>>
Im jealous of that torgue number more than anything. Something that puts you back in your seat and lets you know there is something there to be messed with. Boost, GREAT write up and follow up through the whole thing. Kudos to you man.

Thanks man, I appreciate that.
About the torque, I expected no gain and in fact was fearful of a little loss... some of our earlier runs showed losses. But trust me the horsepower is incredible.. no longer do you get the torque kick then cruise... now you get a torque kick smoothly taken over by a ripping hard pull to 6500 rpm!!!
Dynapacks read so high. The 224 hp stock 08 motor puts down 198whp (12% loss)? At the mustang dyno in my area they put down about 165 (less for the 02-05s). Eh, good numbers and I think they're what you should have expected. I just wish they'd give a compensation number. I'd expect that car to be more in the 265whp range on a mustang dyno. Also, it actually read more torque stock than subaru quotes at the flywheel! Did they use some kind of scalar "awhp" numbers? Numbers are just numbers though. If you're happy, that's the real joy.
Congrats, enjoy. I hope you can hold off the "more" bug longer than most of us do

Nice man lets see the cost when you get a chance still looking forward to that.
Where did you order most your parts and when is your store going to be up?
Great numbers Great job, hope your happy with it
As for that "more" bug I am just being bit by the "something" bug my time will come though

Hmm... I believe that dyna pack is roughly 20% off based on what other cars read. The WRX that was tested was pre-production and not as detuned as they are when rolled off the lot. In other words, it wasn't a final production version... I'm sure they were de-tuned before going to showrooms. The car was used for AEM testing the Intake and Catback for SPT. But honestly, it's not the numbers I really care about, it's the relative gains.
We're roughly at 85% duty cycle on the injectors below 6k rpm. But above 6000, were pushing like 94%. With larger injectors the engine will definitely see more power. It's a step I'm a little hesitant to take, but the car is running so healthy right now, that I'm almost tempted to go for it.

Our store should be up early next month, with tuning packages available. but we're really having a tough time getting everything done in time. We're really doing our best though. I'll shoot out approximate MSRPs as I am in a slightly different position than a typical buyer. And I sourced most of the products through our own supplier.
So just power mods alone, I'd approximate $4550. But like I said, we'll offer comprehensive packages once we're sure all the tunes are safe and reliable. And obviously, you won't be paying for dyno time if you go this route.
Would you be willing to also make an open source tune also? If so that would be awesome cause I would be first in line for that Any ways deff. good numbers, you know temptation will win
