damn that sucks! does Cali only have 1/8th mile strips?? i feel bad for u guys not getting the best of the best stuff
There are some 1/4 mile strips, but they are very far. The closest to me is an hour and half away and rarely open for test and tune. The 1/8 mile strips are each about 45min away too. It's all good, we do what we can.
o well thats good! now put ## damn injectors on and pump and get that thing dyno'd! haha
I'm working on it, haha. Waiting for my Equal Length Header to arrive... And wait for a weekend to free up some time! Trust me, I'm itching to see what kind of gains we get with proper fueling and a freer/equal flowing header.

It all depends on the drag strip you go to. Irwindale's cut off for helmets is 8.599. I have one, just didn't need it on at that point. The car is capable of 8.4xx, I've done a much better launch and missed my shift to 3rd. Comparing my 60 ft and 330 time, it looked like it would have been an 8.4xx pass. Which is a low 13 in the 1/4.
Looking forward to the 12s with the header, injectors, pump and tune!
I would say the only thing that sucks about these cars are the trans. I just watched a video of an STI with launch control just rip off the line. I would love to have that but someone at SUBARU did'nt think these car would ever be modded to be launched at strip ot street.

I'm doing my best to convince COBB to prioritize enabling Launch Control for our cars. I feel alright with launching at the moment, but with such an anticipated increase in torque, it's going to be even more difficult to manage at the drag strip without dumping the clutch. Having the throttle limited to a specific RPM will take one thing out of the equation and make a quick, feathered launch much easier to pull off consistently.
Thanks for the compliment dude... I'm pretty happy with the way things have turned out visually.
It's sort of hard to see in those pics, but what kind of calipers do you have on the back? They don't look like matching gold STi Brembo calipers like the ones on the front. Just curious, what's the deal with that?

Currently, the rear calipers, rotors, pads and lines are stock. The Brembo's on the rear require some modification to bolt up. I have a friend who is custom machining some brackets for me to make it work. The current available brackets on the market do not work for the 08s.
The brackets should be done soon and I will bolt up the rears as soon as possible. It definitely looks off though, I agree.

Thanks booosted09 I almost went with vented, but glad I stuck to oem style.
Yeah, I think I remember a while back you mentioned something about the back Brembo calipers not being a direct bolt on, but I wasn't sure if you completely abandoned the idea or if you had another trick up your sleeve. Glad to hear it's gonna work out for you though. Sorry, I wasn't trying to nitpick... just an observation. It's looking pretty good though. I think you should take a nice low pic from the back to show just how wide those tires are... man, that's a sick setup.

I'll definitely shoot more of the car, and that low rear shot is a favorite of mine I know exactly what you have in mind! haha. In terms of completing the look, I just want a few final touches...
