Best turbo

Greetings everyone.

I have a 2008 WRX (non STi).
My turbo packed it in due to the usual oiling issue.
I removed the filter, but now I am faced with replacing the turbo.
At the same time, I'm thinking of upgrading a little bit without spending huge cash.
I just want a little bit more performance for the street WITHOUT sacrificing reliability as this will be a daily driver.
The original turbo is a TD04L.

I looked at the Arashi site for their standard replacement TD04. They claim better performance without having to do any further mods to the motor except just bolting it in.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Dale

That's a lie. Any change means retuning.

Never heard of them. Stick with reputable brands.

Honestly, this is a decision you'll have to make for yourself. Your best bet will probably be to find a reputable tuner in your area and have them create a package for you based on your budget.

You can safely daily drive a car with a fairly big turbo as long as you have the appropriate supporting mods and a good/conservative tune. Although it's not outrageous, I've had my particular setup (see profile) for almost 2 years now (~40k miles).
