JDM stands for japanese domestic market...asically the muffler is canister shaped like most other tuner mufflers instead of the oval like one that maganflow usually offers. I got the exhaust because it was 3" in all the way back which i like. here is the link for your car

The TurboXS mufflers were all Magnaflow. Don't know if it still holds true now.

I have the sedan, so those won't work. My wife won't like any exhaust mods yet anyway. LOL

I have a Magnaflow muffler with a one piece 3 inch turbo back piping. Granted this doesn't help your situation, but it does sound good!

I ended up locating a SPT catback for the intro price of $333. That put it to my door for less then the Magnaflow, and I retain warranty on it. For my leased car, I like the idea of not worrying about swapping exhausts if I have an issue.

Why would you swap exhausts? It's just a catback...

If you knew what the 08 exhaust looked like (1.5" to the mufflers) you wouldn't ask that. It's a 10-15hp increase and a 5 pound loss.

I know what you are saying. You wrote "I like the idea of not worrying about swapping exhausts if I have an issue.", Why would you swap the exhaust? They can't blame the catback on something else like a broken radio, etc. Does a catback ruin warranty? If it does, then never mind about my argument.

Technically the dealer can blow your warranty for any non-factory upgrades. It wouldn't hold up in court if it matched the SPT specs, but I wouldn't bother with court anyway. Basically the dealer can void your warranty for almost any reason. I like the Magnaflow system, and it's very similar to the SPT, but the SPT can't be blamed for a warranty covered problem. That was my point. I already have to toss the airbox back on before I take it in for the 1000 mile inspection. I want to have as few obvious mods as possible. They aren't smart enough to know about my reflashing.
