Just get an intake, you ll be pleasantly surprised how loud it is. Just remember you will need a tune as well weather it is Cobb AP or open source.

Why do you want a BOV?

YouTube videos are horrible for hearing sounds. You can't really hear how it really sounds

i love my cobb intake. shes matched up with a catless setup in the up and down pipe and sounds awesome . thats what i would do instead of getting a aftermarket bov. you will need a tune no matter which way you go. you have no real use for an aftermarket bov until you reach some high horsepower numbers. im running a stage 2 street tune with a cobb access port and running right at 18lbs of boost on the stock bypass valve(bov). works great

Someone put a pistol to my head already!

If he wants a BOV for the noise who cares. Some people may say put a pistol to their head for the not so flattering pale yellow of your car. But if you like it good for you.

Exactly, couldn't have said it better. Thanks for the back up.

I like the sound of an after market bov. What's it going to cost to tune it with the Cobb intake?

Blaze2099 if I put a fake fender vent from pep boys on my ride, will it add 5hp?

I don't have fake anything, and you can't tune for a blow off valve. Please do your homework.
My car happens to be the rarest of all wrx colors to date from factory. Early next year the states will receive 2-300 orange limited editions.

Please search the bov topic. I'm sure you will change your mind.

I do tho agree that it's a, to each their own mod. With that being said though, it's extremely obvious that you haven't done any research which is why I said and acted in the way I did. Sorry if it rubbed you the wrong way. It's an extremely beaten topic.

.........CHEERS!!!

I bought my car with a BOV on so i never set the BPV back on and I think that that stupid PSSSST sound is awesome! its very funny when ppl hear it and dont know what to make of it. it definately draws attention, and wether it makes the car run better or not i do not know tho its still pretty cool. just remember these dudes say that the car runs much better without one.

There's a difference between an opinion and a fact. Learn the difference between the two and btw:

i didnt take it in a bad way at all, i was just being sarcastic. and im sure it is a beaten topic ahahah..

What's it going to cost to tune it with the Cobb intake? and is it bad to not tune with the intake upgrade?

Do you have an AP yet? Or maybe a tactrix cable and software?

It is a beaten topic and I often get the stinky face for saying something about it. Glad Randy came out and said something.

If you REALLY want to add some noise and are adamant about having a BPV/BOV sound, then look into a V1 Forge BPV... Or a V2.

But understand when replacing the stock unit, you will have maintainence on it.
