If your rear end is getting loose in a corner and you're not trying to you're doing something wrong. Personally, I've only got the rear end out when I've wanted to, on a closed course of course.

UPDATE: got on the scales today, car started out at 3200lbs with my lighter wheels and suspension and i think that was it. today was 3130lbs with removing a few things like everything in the trunk. both were on a full tank of gas; nice thing is when i go to the strip ill be about 1/4 tank which should knock off about 70lbs i believe. once i gut the engine bay i should be looking closer to 3000 and that would be nice. i think im going to the strip this week so fingers crossed.

Great updates Scott. Sounds like things are coming together nicely. Got any sound clips with that exhaust? Im interested in how it sounds with dual tips over the single tip, if any difference at all. Good luck at the strip also.

i can try to take one. video never picks up the real thing though. to me it sounds the exact same. im surprised both the SPT and TXS CBE sound the same. now with the catless DP it is a little louder which i like. my EL header should quite it down a lot since it makes the note so much smoother!

You do bring up a good point. Probably none of us have the money or the equipment to give our exhaust due justice. Its just nice to see things coming together nicely for you. Best of luck with it all.

update:

thought id be the first to do this. its been said before i hate clutter and with the install of the STI mani going to happen there will be no room to re-install the EVAP purge control solenoids.

so i decided to remove them. basically the gas tank can still vent if need be. the charcoal boxes in the rear are still hooked up so the fumes still have to pass through that so the environment will still be happy. with the solenoids removed the fumes just wont be able to get sucked out of the gas tank. the suction only happend though when the solenoids were powered on so most of the time they are shut. when the cars off and sitting in a parking lot on a hot summer day they are still powered off and nothing blows up or happens.

just some pics of what i removed and the little room i gained. the last pic shows the vent tube running down the fire wall, its the 3rd metal line coming from the back of the car along with the fuel fill and return line. also saved a 1/4 of a pound

i will update of smells and MPG is anything changes. only codes so far i needed to delete were P2419-evap switching valve low and P0458-evap purge valve circuit low
