Question for OP. What is the lag like on an auto STi? I have always wondered how the A-Line would drive compared to a normal 6-speed? How is acceleration and throttle response?

i need seggestions from the pro's here.

note:

-in summer season the temperature reach 50-55c .
-i want the car for daily use .
If you want a safe tune that will make decent power gains stock, and with bolt-on mods like air intakes and exhaust, take a look at the Hypertech Sport programmer. See attached dyno chart.

The tune comes with calibrations for 6 different aftermarket cold air intakes.

Hate to ask this. But, does Hypertech support JDM models?

So will it or will it not support a car purchased in Kuwait?

Earlier model has nothing to do with it being JDM/EDM/USDM. He was asking if it worked with a car that was not meant for the US market. I.e one with a different ECU like one from Japan, or Australia, or Europe.

Yeah, I think HyperTech got confused on what I meant. Not model year...just JDM Spec, EDM, or USDM. Each region has small differences and sometimes major differences in how they are set-up from the factory.

First off, not sure if you've read this, but here's a great guide on how you might get to 400 HP, and a suggested order in which to do it.

_THE_ WRX Modification Guide *Complete*

Since you don't have access to a local tuner, one option is to find someone that can do it all - supply the parts necessary and a map. The only tricky part is what market your ECU would be from, I imagine it would be a JDM market ECU.

So you could contact Perrin, since they supply all the parts (exhaust, turbo, FMIC, BOV, fuel system etc.) and could build you a map, but not sure how they would be able to program to your ECU if your ECU is JDM and their maps are based on USDM. I wonder if you could buy the AP, and somehow have that download a copy to send to Perrin?

Or assuming your ECU is JDM, you could find a tuning/parts shop more focused on the japanese market and get your parts and map from them?

Hope this helps and good luck!

Sorry I did misunderstand your question. I thought you were refering to the older ECMs. We do not currently support non-US ECMs.
