Nice. Why does the dyno sheet say a vf43?

I'm not 100% sure, but most likely the tuner has a baseline vf43 map he starts with when tuning the 08+ cars that he setup before the 08 cars came out with. The vf43 and vf52 flow rate is nearly identical. About the only difference is the external mounting points.

I could be wrong though, there could be another explanation.

There is a big difference between a VF43 and a VF52. The closest thing to a VF52 is a VF48 and there is a big difference in turbo layout.

Another tuner using base tunes..... smh

He said his tuner started with a base tune, doesn't mean it is the end result. I usually start with base tunes on the cars I tune...

Why the DW 1000cc? Could have gotten away a lot cheaper.

And rumor is, the 52 is capable of 900AWHP. Good choice;)

Bulldog71ss 11-02-2013 05:07 PM

To be honest this is just my best guess as to why it says vf43, I could be totally wrong. All I know is the tune runs great so I don't care how the hell he gets to the end result.

Blaze, I think you underestimate the 52 a bit, I heard more like 1 kajillion whp capable...gets your facts straight dude...common.
It should sit happy around 350 whp on corn soon though and that's more than enough for the stock block imo.

That's an on going joke with a few people on here and it never gets old....;) Anyway congrats on your new found power and if you do anything, respect it. ;)

Bulldog71ss 11-04-2013 10:02 AM

Haha...I think I get the reference.

I've seen guys claim the 52 is comparable to an 18g

psinuse 11-04-2013 02:27 PM

We had a "member" who got on here and was bragging about breaking into the 11's with a VF52 and going for the fastest vf52 record(not that anyone cared). He then proceeded to start trash talking others cars, we don't tolerate that on here. We try and help one another and congratulated each other on builds, times, etc.
