I just got my 08 wrx about a week ago and i have to say it is growing on me. This is my third subaru and I have had a wide range of them. I like the wrx a lot but the one car I really liked was the 2000 2.5rs. That car felt much more like a rally car then the 08 but then again no turbo in that one.

most of the ones I've seen are not manufactured (note the spelling) that way, people paint them. I would bet the wheels on that white WRX have been painted with that lip by the owner.

I misspelled, but if you look on tirerack.com and discounttires.com there's a decent amount of wheels that have colored lips still. I'll agree, I hate them. Even if it's a all black rim with a chrome lip. stupid, if you want a solid black rim. That and the stupid wheel stubs that are all over the lip. I don't get it, who in their right mind wants that? It looks like you have a ton of rivets all over your rim. I dunno, just my little rant.

Thats why you dont have them, but some people do, cause they like them. Its an opinion, a like, its what seperates one person from the next.

Manufactured, via Tenzo. I wouldn't waste my effort trying to paint a rim

I drive a 08 WRX hatch and I love it! And let me tell you as soon as the new model came out i was the first one to say what a shitty design and ar it was. I made groups up, and ect. about how mad i was at subaru for desgining this car. You guys shouldn't knock the car until you have seen it up close and driven it! As soon as i saw one i bought one...They drive way smoother and nicer that the 04-07 WRX's and i think in a way look nicer. That hatch desgin was as planned out alot more than the sedan, and the lights on the hatch are actually reallynice at night time with the individual LED's. My WRX is black and i blacked out the tail light and it looks stealthy! SO before youmake fun of the car go test drive one and really have a good look at one!

The standard WRX is missing HID headlamps , and a boost gauge. These are my only complaints.

I wouldnt go as far to say that , I dont see a sticker price for the 2009 yet ?......I'm sure I could mod my WRX for less and beat it in price and power my friend.
What ever moderator put that up , should really have includede the dealer price, I'm sure its about $4000.00 more than a premium 2008 WRX .

I'm sure you could, there is no question about that. We all knew Subaru had to respond to the ralliart.

27,900 for a premium package 09' so what, 300$ more than the 08'? yea, real big expense.

some people say it is ugly, so do the car review guys, but those are also the same guys that said the prius was a great looking car, need i say more. the '09 in mid to late october, very interested to see how big of a jump it is.
