08 WRX Air Cabin filter replacement - how to?

Not wanting to pay my dealer $100 CDN for a replacement air cabin filter, I've bought an aftermarket one and want to install it myself. I've looked at the directions in the car manual but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the glove box.

If someone who's done it before can provide your insight I'd appreciate it. I'm likely missing something small but I don't want to break a clip or something else that will cost me more than the filter would have.
