08 STI Cobb acessport Q's

How does the Access port interface with the I-Drive system? Can a different map be loaded into Sport, "Intellignet," and Sport Sharp mode? If so, that would be cool. Keep Sport Sharp the balls out mode, I mode the economy, and sport for... I don't know what, maybe some kind of staged Drag strip mode. If it doesnt work that way, where does the Cobb mode load, or is it disabled? Just wondered if anyone else knew.

That is a good question...I was watching a racing vid the other day comparing the new sti to the new evo and the guy in the vid said they had the sti tuned to 3 different custom settings so it can/has been done, that would be cool if cobbs ap could do it!

The Cobb unit on the 02-07 modelsreplaces the stock ECU setting with teir own map. Im not sure with the 08 since they have those extra nonsense things added to them. Best bet is to check out Cobbs forums or ask them directly. They are very helpful and easy to talk to.

I posted over there, i'll either link to it, or tell everyone what they said. I don't see why they couldn't, since the stock ECU has a three position tune...
