08 rex almost always overfills at gas station

I've had the car for almost a year now, and I can't hardly seem to get a fill without peeing gas on the side of the car. I don't top off, it just doesn't turn off in time. Any one else having this issue? I'm thinking I need to take it in for a repair. The repeated soaking is beginning to show on the paint. Especially with e85. I often get gas at the same station with my land cruiser and I never have an issue.

Call the dealership... I believe there was a TSB on it....

COULD have something to do w/the type of fuel as well.

I am gonna call the dealer on Monday. My wife drove the car mostly for the first few months, but now that it's my dd I keep seeing this happen.

I had the same problem on my 05. The first time I filled it, it shot out about 1/2 a gallon. Glad I was standing there to turn it off. I have not had that major of a problem again, but it does come out a little bit every once and a while. (mind you I only fill up about once every 2 weeks and I have only had my 05 for 2 months). Now I watch it and when it gets close to being full, I make sure to slow the rate of flow from the gas nozzel. If you find anything out, let me know.

just push the nozzle and make sure its as far in the tank as possible. thats what i have to do with my 08 ### every once in a while it will overflow on a pump that flows fast.

doesn't matter how far it's in or the angle, it just overflows without a warning. it turns off, just a little late.

I just know that my WRX 08 takes in 16 gallons and I guess by the average how much I have left and then make the rough estimate and stop when Im suppossed to. Usually im 90% right.
I use 93 Oct. down here in Miami.

Gas station nozzels normaly have a life of about 1 month. They are designed with a spring so that they dont over flow like that. However I cant see that those of you with an 08 09 have that kind of bad luck. I would contact the dealer about it, I would think that would get covered under the warrenty. I didnt realize that the subbys were felx fuel vehicles, is this new? or ratfink do you have a mod to accept E85? It would be good to know if they are FFV's.

I have a flash that allows e85, the 08 turbo is so small you can run e85 without hardware changes.
