08 Pnp

I am about to go stage two but I am planning ahead cause I know that won't last long, Hi my names Josh and I'm and addict. Haha. I have done a little research on the subject of PNP various parts and I think it's how I want to go for now, But I want opinions and thoughts. First I will list my upgrades. Some are for future use that I may get right now, cause most likely in a year or two I will swap the turbo.

1. PNP/Coat Stock Headers/Up pipe
2. PNP/Coat Stock Turbo
3. AVO TMIC
4. AVO BPV (is this needed or stock ok?)
5. Injectors/Pump
6. Protune

Please comment for me I am just looking to be able to hold my own and have a fairly quick car without too much money right now. Will the injectors and fuel pump be a good addition to the pnp stocker or is it totally uneccesary? I may get them just becuase later if I upgrade the turbo I will already have them on. All and Any criticism is welcome. I am still learning about turbos but I know I'm learning a lot on here. Thanks in advance!

Looks fine but the stock BPV is totally fine for even 20PSI. Leave it alone would be my advise.

What's your opinion on the solid boost actuator? Would it be a good investment?

Not necessary, I wouldn't waste money on it. Get a 3 port bcs after you go stage 2 instead, for much cheaper. Other mods look good, but stay with the stock BPV like mosc said.

Yea I was wondering if a 3 Port would be a good idea after stage 2. I was looking at the perrin 3 port EBCS Perrin EBCS Electronic Boost Control Solenoid, JSC Speed

I have noticed that I may have a problem with my restrictor pill when I go stage two, Which will be soon. Will the 3port resolve the need to drill the pills? I have read a few posts about this and I don't think I found anything concrete. Sometimes I look at this thing so long I forget what I see! haha

That's the one I have, it DOES require tuning (wastegate duty cycle gets lowered 20-25%).
With the 3 port setup you won't have a pill anymore. It eliminates the need for the pill to help hold boost.

I use a 3-port GM boost solenoid cost me $50 RETAIL. You don't need a fancy EMBC for the job. Yes, they need to be accounted for in your tune.

I definately going to upgrade the solenoid but I was just wondering... Would a EWG remove the need for a new EBCS? I am considering purchasing a GrimmSpeed EWG Up pipe kit. Would it be safe to run the EWG without any other mods (besides a tune)? The only reason I am considering this is because I have heard of good gains with larger turbos which I plan to swap to a deadbolt 18g/20g next year.

You can run an EWG on the TD04, a few members on here have it and like it...BUT you should wait til you're stage 2. I couldn't do it just because I'd get sick of the sound of the dump tube. An EWG with a 8cm 20G is a badass combo, but start saving for gears. An EWG has nothing to do with the bcs, therefore you still need to use one. You'll still want to use a 3port bcs when you go bigger turbo so you may as well get the one now.

there's no reason you can't route your wastegate exhaust path back into your main exhaust after the turbo. You could even keep a Catalytic converter. Just saying.

Yea I'm definately going stage 2 before anything. My DP should be here today. So when I get some time I'm gonna install that and reflash. Then I'm goin with grimmspeed PnP/coated headers w/ hiflow crosspipe and upipe and tgv delete and a 3-port with a protune of course. Then I'm going to start the turbo support mods. What tranny mods are in order if I go w/ 20g? gears/clutch?

Usually a stronger set of gears. The stock on the 02-07 or short and narrow. PPGs are much thicker and wider, which makes them much stronger. I dont know what the 08 gears look like.

Yea I am looking to get a set of straight cut ppg's since I live not too far away from andrewtech. Should I have to worry about any internals at that power level?
