X-Runner to WRX

Just wanted to introduce myself...

Two days ago I traded in my 2006 Toyota X-Runner for a 2006 Subaru WRX. This car is completely foreign to me, I've never owned a Subaru before...

I'm a moderator on XR-underground.com, and I've been working for Toyota for almost 10 years...so I guess you could say this is a whole new beginning for me.

Anyways....

Here is my X-Runner that I had:

And here is my WRX

well welcome to the family.

that kind of looks like it was a hard choice to make. that is a nice truck.

but then again it's hard not to fall in love with a subie.

Thanks man!

It wasn't, I had to do it because I just got my first home. The Subie is 100.00 cheaper a month then my truck was...and your right, I love the car! I bought a 6000k HID kit for it and a new BOV. Once I get some more play money, I'll start getting some performance parts for it.

My truck was pushing 9.7psi, 341whp...and with this car being 1000lbs lighter, its right there with my truck, with a few mods, it will be faster in no time

Welcome to the club. Clean looing truck man. One of the best first mods for the car really is getting rid of the crappy stock rubber. That might have alread been done seeing that the car is used. Im not sure the BOV is really good right of the bat, but some have no troubles. This is great site, filled with many people who know thier stuff. Check out all the stickies and FAQs in each section to learn the basics of the car.

Err what kind of bov did you get?
Hopefully it was a bpv because the bov can actually damage the engine on the wrx.
But good luck andenjoy man.

I agree about the stock rubbers though.

Yep, RE92/93s are garbage unless they're on the verge of being new. They don't handle well in snow and rain. Also not a good dry handling tire...just crappy all seasons. GL and enjoy the new ride.
