Stagger has an excellent point, and I have heard some bad stories from ebay also. Like you said, NASIOC is kind of like ebay for subarus. Just guys usually got one turbo, found out it wasnt big enough for them and went bigger and have to get rid of the other one.

alright, i'll take all of your words for it, but i dont have an account, my friend does, so i will probably ask him to check on it for me

fyi-my hesitation about NASIOC and other forums like it, isnt without reason, long story, but i just cant bring myself to go back on, took me a long time just to get back into the rs25 forum, some people take the forum thing way too seriously

anyways, thanks for your input guys, much appreciated

^^I hear that. This is by far the coolest forum I have been on. Mods are cool. People are cool and respectful for the most part. The Audi forums I frequent are pretty harsh too. Flame fest from a bunch of trolls and punk ass high school kids. Lame.

GC, I hear your pain about NASIOC, I joined it first, dont really go there often now, this place rocks. Good luck with your search for a turbo.

well i've been back on the other forums lately and my expectations are lowered, working out good so far, i even got some positive feedback on the car

currently this is what im working on for the L; this weekend a friend and I are swapping RS interior into the L (minus the center and dash)

pretty stoked for that, and the wife is getting me JDM tails for XMAS, super stoked for those

and last i am buying a stock replacement bumper for the front, this way i will not have to run my painted lip jobby and risk damaging/cracking the paint

well i decided against the jdm tails, they are just getting too mainstream IMO, so i am going to slightly tint the oem tails and get my trunklid painted instead of the CF trunk.

stock bumper cover is going on this weekend

lately i have been having problems with the stock tranny; fork is going, hella chatter from the 2 year old clutch pack, which to me indicates the shaft and case are worn beyond salvation. so im currently hunting down a hydraulic tranny out of an RS. Also going to find a lightweight f/w (probaly fidanza) and upgraded clutch pack (probably ACT). hopefully it lasts through the winter, ugh.

more changes; im not real happy with my custom SRI and SPT cone setup, buying another intake pipe and a stock airbox that will have a k&n drop in, or maybe a SPT drop in, not sure yet. Hoping to get much better performance/idling from this setup, i think my custom SRI is robbing me, find out soon enough.

Take it from one rotated turbo daily driver to another potential, if you want to keep it daily driven don't do it. Go mild, like the STI swap you were talking about..
