New to the scene..

Whats up everyone..?

I'm Russ and just bought my first Suby yesterday (03 Wrx). I just couldn't pass up the offer.

I'm very happy with the car so far, but disappointed in the fact that its only been one day and CEL is on. Previous owner has an aftermarket BOV which is pretty sure the reason it flipped the P0172 CEL.

I already plan on converting back to a BPV style or atleast something of that nature since the one currently seems to lack a recirculation.
Any recommendations?

Enough ranting..
Hi everyone!

So, I just bought a 09 wrx. what is the speed diff from this wrx to other older stock ones? i have never been in a older one. And what is honestly the true 0-60 and quarter mile time? ### i have heard so many diff times.

The first question is sort of tough to answer since the majority of older WRXs have been modified to some extent. The best way to figure that one out is to find an older stock car and drive it yourself or find someone who has driven both and ask them. The true 0-60 and quarter mile times for any car are impossible to know for sure. You can calculate numbers based on power, weight, and different "ideal" conditions or you can put 1 or 100 different drivers in the same car and run it over and over again and the numbers will probably be different there too. An average of the numbers you've found is probably going to be your best bet, but like it's been said before, try not to get caught up in the numbers game.
