New From Denver

Hey guys,

I figured I'd make a thread in here after signing up and reading for a couple of hours. After looking at numerous Impreza sites, I think I found the best one. I'm looking into buying a WRX within the next month or two (04-07), so I first became interested in what to look for when buying/looking at one. I've wanted one for the past couple of years and now the time has (hopefully) come. I'm looking to land a black one, but I've only seen one for sale around here in the past couple of weeks.

Anywho, cool site. Hopefully I stick around for a long time.

Good luck in finding your car. Probably higher demand around your parts.

Welcome to the site. This IMHO is the best site to be on. Very helpful and friendly people here. Best of luck in finding your car.

Yeah, its been kind of a pain. I've only found 3 in the Denver area, and they're all 06s (two blue, one a silver TR I believe) with 20k-32k on em for just under 19 grand up to about 21 grand. There's a few down in Colorado Springs (50 miles away) and they're generally closer to my preferred price range.

I'm a bit sketchy going through a private seller, but if its a solid and realistic price, do you guys think its worth looking in to and taking it to Subaru for a full inspection? i.e. there's a black 04 for sale, bone stock, 61k, 15,900 OBO?

Test drive one a a dealeship (one that is stock). Then test drive one that is from a private seller so you can compare them. And try and find a reputable mechanic that can gve the car a good once over to see if it has been modded or is in good working condition.

Thanks for the tip.

Quick question: I found two 06 WRX TR's for sale here in Denver (blue and silver), and I can't find out what the heck the TR is/includes.

EDIT: I found via Wikipedia that its Tuner Ready and weighs 52 more lbs than the regular WRX. Yet I can't find any of the differences it includes.

EDIT: Found a thread in the Newbie forum.
