New'09 Owner

I am the proud owner of a new '09 Black Premium WRX which I bought about a week and a half ago. I love it... even though the CD changer already failed. But its still my baby!

I did have a question about tint though; since I have a black car, I was hoping to put a nice dark tint on it... and I was thinking about doing 20-25 percent but I have not decided yet... what is too dark?

If you don't care about breaking the law, go for 20% because I got 35% and I wish I would have gone darker. 5% (limo tint) is too dark.

I have to agree with man show. boosted09 is right too. I went 32 and wish i could have gone darker. Az has tight guide lines on window tint though. My 09 is my first subie too got it about 4 months ago love it. watch the break in period.

FYI: Boost Addict's company Treble Racing has recently released some really nice looking, high quality carbon fiber trunks for 08+ WRX Sedans if you're interested... '08 WRX Sedan Carbon Fiber Love

I think I will probably go darker than Kansas's 35% and go to 20-25 soon. Thanks for advice, and I know that Subaru recommends that you don't go over 4,000 rpm, but I am a first time manual driver, I learned about two weeks before I bought this one... so I have been north of that 4,000 mark a few times. Do you think it will have any impact?

They are just replacing the whole cd unit... which is ok with me, except its been a week since they ordered it... at least the aux jack is working

And I think the grill is just the sport grill... I honestly did not notice it was different than yours until you pointed it out

And tomorrow is road trip time to bump the engine over that 1,000 mile mark!
