Hello all, new here

Hello everyone, I'm Scott. I just joined here. As my sig says, I don't own a WRX yet but a few of my friends do and I eventually want to get one to use as a new daily driver instead of what I currently drive. So I don't know much about these cars but I'm on here looking to learn. I know tons of stuff about diesel trucks and 4WD off roading, among other things. Anyways, thanks for your time and have a good one.

Scott

I'm pretty sure you'll appreciate the power-to-weight ratio and increase in gas mileage if you end up switching to a WRX, but probably miss the hauling capacity and ground clearance of your truck. Don't worry though, WRXs are still great in bad weather.

If you like offroad, you might consider a turbo Forrester (04+). They still get ~25mpg but they're very capable off-road vehicles right from the factory. Far more than most "sport utility vehicles" anyway. The EJ255 motor they use is nearly identical to the 06+ WRX motor. A lot of the mods are compatible with the legacy GT (05+) and the 08+ WRX as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm actually not gonna get rid of the truck. I inherited it from my dad so because of that the truck has too much sentimental value for me to get rid of it. Plus, ANY Subaru can't haul the loads I haul with my truck. I want the Subaru because it'll get better gas mileage and it'll be easier to maneuver in traffic and to park and whatnot.
