Got my new Black 07 STi today!

So far, so good. Overall, I am happy with it. It feels a little slow right now, but I hope to change that drastically after break-in. The car had the silver wheels, but I had the dealer change them to the gold. I will be getting aftermarket wheels, so it really does not matter, but until then, I think the gold looks good with the black.

I have had my share of fast cars including 2 Z06's (one supercharged), 4 different AMG's, a SRT10 Viper, a Ford GT, and my current Shelby GT500 with about 650HP. I love high HP, and I hope to mod the hell out of this thing. For those of you who think I am going backwards by going from these to an STi, all I can say is I am a true car guy. If it moves, I want it.

I should be through with break-in in a few weeks, so if anyone knows of a good tuner in So Cal, please let me know.

Mark

Sounds good and congrats on the new purchase. You can definitely pull a ton of whp out of the sti 2.5L. Sounds like you've really had your fair share of high performance cars. What AMGs did you have? S55 maybe...???

Thanks guys.

As far as the AMG's, I have an 03 CL55, 03 SL55, and still have an 05 SLK55, and 05 SL55.

...too...much...money...

anyway, The STi will feel pretty slow compared to a lot of those cars certainly. It runs 13s where a lot of those cars are in the 12s

I suggest taking it to a tune shop and spending some of your piles of dough on making it a beast.

You can never have too much money. You can definately never have too many cars either.

I have had a few 10 sec cars. I definately plan on making this car a monster. Does anyone know any tuner in SoCal that can help me out?

Get a fully built S4 motor with a GT35R turbo and have a 10s 1/4 mile snowmoblie.

This could be you dyno chart:

They also have a 2.8L "R4" motor if you're into that kind of thing

I was hoping for something closer to me, but I may consider using them if they are one of the better tuners around here in SoCal. Thanks for the info.

you can't go wrong with tim bailey. he's definitely one of the most reputable suby tuners out there, not to mention some of the lowest prices for tuning.
