From FWD to AWD
Hey y'all I just recently purchased a 2010 Satin White Pearl WRX H/B. Unfortunately Im not driving it yet, I still have to make the 3hr drive to go and pick it up. I cant wait to go on Friday and get it. I feel like a teen age girl on Prom night. Ive already ordered the Sharp HID kit and will soon be piecing together my parts for an exhaust. I am thinking of getting the Perrin DP mid pipe and I really like/want the gymkhana axle back.... We'll have to see what is in store for me ROFL

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club. Dont forget to search EM (engine management) to remendy any issues with the added performance parts and to get the most out of your setup.

Yea, Im looking into either the AP or Utec, I just really like the ease of use with the AP

no utec, AP or opensource.

I agree with Brad, either AP or opensource. I personally run the AP and love it, but it is spendy. Opensource is just as capable if not more, and usually cheaper if money is an issue.

Congrats on the purchase... I couldn't sleep the night before I picked up my wrx in February. Best day of my life (I can say that bc the wife isn't on the forums- you guys ever meet her don't tell her I said this). Going from a Ford Contour GL to a Jeep Grand Cherokee to the wrx was awesome.

whats even better is that Ill be leaving texas here in a 3 months and Ill be going To Colorado springs so Ill really be able to TRY and drive it the way it was supposed to be driven

Curvy mountain roads are what the wrx was made for (right behind curvy dirt roads of course). I'm living in Utah so I have access to some pretty good roads only 20 minutes from my apartment. I wouldn't think it would be too crazy just getting to Colorado Springs, but you'll definitely have to make a trip into the mountains since you'll be right there.

Pikes Peak is less than 45 mins away... but I dont really know if they open that road for daily travel. Even if they dont Im sure Ill be able to find some nice mountain pass roads to travel on

SO I picked it up yesterday and OMG it was soo much better then i had imagined. The last wrx I rode in was a 2003 and it had a slipping clutch. I was so confident in all the articles and everything I read and watched about the 09-10 model years that I ordered one and didnt even bother to go for a test drive first. All I can say is that I am glad I decided to go with the WRX, this car impresses me in every way shape and form. Tommorrow I should be installing my SharpHID kit, so Ill have to post some pics when I get a chance!!
