Emily, 06 wrx.

Hi everyone, I'm Emily.. I just got my first subie, a 2006 wrx limited. I don't have any plans for the car, yet.. We still need to get to know eachother Before the subie I had a 2002 rsx type s, a 2000 civic si, and a bmw 323i.. This one is by far, the most fun! Here are some pics of my baby

Welcome to the club. Looks like the other owner did some decent asthetics to the car. Not usually a red fan, but with what has been done, very clean looking car.

Painted the headlights, painted the gauge cluster, and either swapped or painted the subaru emblem in at least the front grille. Thats all I can from the pics you posted. Again pretty clean to me.

Oh ok, yeah aside from the intake, the engine looks stock as a rock. My last car was red, prior to that green, then before that yellow. I really want to get my subie painted yellow like the Spec-C eventually.

i agree with newtothegame. now i have been reading on here that an aftermarket intake doesnt do much for performance. would you agree with that, newtothegame?

Intake doesn't yield significant performance gains. For us, it's more of a cap. The stock box will handle up to 350bhp no problem. I'm a bit confused to why the frame behind the grill is painted. Welcome btw.

thats what i heard. i removed my silencer and put a k&n pannel filter and noticed the turbo spool more. i read that the spt sri does the same thing as removing the silencer and putting a high flow pannel filter in.

Unfortunately, you are probably feeling a placebo effect. It shouldn't make a gain that can be physically noticed.

oh yea i did notice a just like you would in any car that you let beath better. those stock filters and silencers choke the engine as do the stock exhaust. let the engine breath the better the performance.

Vew is absolutely right, if you go and get a tune with a CAI or maybe an SRI you might be able to squeeze out a few ponies, but for the money, not a good first mod.
