1998 JDM WRX STi Type RA version 4

Hi all!

I am from Lima, Perú, and have been reading the forum for some time. Finaly I have some pictures of my GC8 WRX STi RA , I hope I can post them correctly. I have had most of my questions answered by searching the forum and hopefully you guys can help with the new questions that come along.

Current mods/accesories:
Green panel filter
Perrin Light pulley
Perrin Turbo Intake hose (adapted to fit)
Knocklite
WRC carbon fiber mirrors
Intercooler splitter
Intercooler lift and tilt
2.5" TBE
Changed 5th gear from 0.825 to 0.738 for better highway driving
Whiteline ALK
Whiteline steering rack bushings
Grounding mod

Very near future mods:
3.0" TBE
Apexi Power FC EM
TurboXS High Performance MBC (stock is 1.1 bar. plan to go 1.3 bar max)
SMC water alcohol injection
Change color to sonic blue mica

The car is currently puttin down 216 AWHP (280 hp is from factory) and this is in hot summer weather. My goal with the next mods is 350 - 360 crank hp. My car has the IHI VF24 turbo. I am tunning it with a tuner that prepares all of the rally cars here in Lima and has about 10 years experience. I know many people in the forum recommnd against MBC and I am going to be very carefull with this.

Thanks in advance for your comments and advice.

Cheers,

Ricardo

I was forgeting...

I forgot to mention my car also has a Walbro fuel pump and leather interior . I just went out and measured the HP again, since I installed the intercooler splitter today, anyway I know its just a reference but I got 232 awhp using a Gtech, guess its better to measure during a cool night. Here are a couple of pics more

Cheers,

Ricardo

I love the old school sti, very nice ride i wish they had those here in the US. If you do get it painted make sure you get em up here so we can see it because it's gonna look hot but even though the paint right now is nice.

Thanks for comments

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the comments. I do get mixed views for my car´s color, some say its elegant, and some hate it... I prefer the WRC blue, so should be done within a couple months. Is the hte wrb color same as the WRC Blue? We don´t get almost any rain and no snow here is Lima, so the DCCD stays open all the time except when I go to some dirt roads

Here is a pic of a WRC GC8 with the color I like.

Cheers,

Ricardo
