You can buy that transmission from Prodrive and you can buy Petters used rebuilt car for 500,000. 427 HP seems kinda high, I thought they were governed to around 300 HP? I know they have restricter on the turbo inlets

The HP ratings if I remember correctly aren't that unusually high, but the torque is off the wall!

Thank you all for the info. 300 BHP at 5500 RPM, shouldn't that redline be a bit higher or is that because of the restrictor?

That's PEAK RPM, not redline. So in other words, 300 peak horsepower is made at 5,500 RPM.

you meen his transmission?

i think "tiptronic" is a BMW product, the style transmission is a sequential. pull to go up, push to go down

the tiptronic trannys in BMW's are actually automatic trannis with a computer that allows you to move between gears, but its very restrictive and will take over if it dosent like what you are doing.

the BMW smg tranny is a manual transmission with a computer that controlls it, and it wont take over it your doing something your not.

How exactly do you think they were getting those torque figures so high?
