Where do i start?

So i picked up a 08 WRX hatch and i'm looking to get into Rallyx. It is pretty much stock other then a catback exhaust and aem intake. I'm looking to lift it no more then 2.5 to 3 from stock height. I did some reading and found ground control coilovers to be a safe bet but i'm not sure if they can give the lift i'm looking for. I'm new to the rally world so help me out with some suggestions.

As with autocross I think the best place to start will be "Driver Mod".

Basically get out there with the vehicle as it is now and get some seat time. Once you have completed a few events you'll have a good idea about what changes you might like to make to the vehicle.

When you are ready, Forester coilovers can be used to lift your WRX. (We don't carry parts for the forester normally but we can special order them if you need).

Lighter wheels wouldn't hurt either. Reducing un-sprung weight can be especially useful in the bumpy conditions that you will experience on a rally cross course.

Let us know if you need help with coilovers or wheels and we'll be happy to set you up!

definitly recommend upgrading the equipment between your steering wheel and your seat.

With the hardware you already have id make sure you have an effective tune, the 08+ arent super happy with CIA without a proper tune.

as far as rallycross is concerned id look into a nice light bar, something you can mount a protective skid plate to in the future and something that pleases your eye. if your also planning on using it as your DD id grab some flaps to protect the side of your paint : )

Look into a Forester XT OEM suspension set-up.

It works the other way around on the 04-07 models. I'm pretty sure you will get the clearance you are seeking.

subaruforester.org has some stuff laying around.

Strut spacers. Be aware that this (rallyx) will kill your struts. It's fine as long as you go in knowing that.
