I wasn't earning enough returning glass bottles and mowing yards so my dad tells me he'll pay me to come up and clean the machines at the shop after they close. So at 9 years old I have a job, kind of. Seemed like forever, 4 months to be exact, and I have the money to go to Clearwater Bicycle and Canoe. Go in pluck my money down and tell the man, "I want the blue Haro Sport!" Get it home and was the envy of all the kids on my block and at school. 2 weeks later I'm getting ready to head over to a friends house, walk out to the garage to find my bike had been stolen while we were home. I was angry and pissed off, parents called the cops and I never saw the bike again. I asked my dad what he was going to do about getting me a new bike, he said, "Wait til you get older son and the government takes money from you and gives you nothing in return." What did I learn from this; 1) my dad is an a$$ 2) never live beyond your means 3) and the government sucks...
I had a sky blue Haro and a Schwinn Preditor- both we're stolen

Please do not share the trailer of RAD again...I lost that time spent watching the trailer and I'll never get it back.

I remember the Profile GT bikes that came out about the same time as the Haro Sport...Profiles actually cost more than the Haro.

Stole both my Haro and my Preditor from my uncle who gave up riding at 16.
But my interest in bikes wasn't nearly what my interest was for skateboarding. So I was pissed about them being stolen, yes.
But I wasn't loosing sleep over it.

Yeah we def highjacked this one lol! But I'll contribute. Bet no one had this one! Can't even believe I found a pic of one in white. Super rare color! BMX was truly my life 24/7 when a teen...until 17 and licensed to drive an automobile !!

Apparently Subaru knows more about its fan base than I do. Its no wonder they didn't say no when Ken Block convinced them to let Dave Mirra race for Subaru back a couple years ago. Everybody and their brother that drives a Subaru BMX'd at one point in time or another. FOL
