Track day...again

Well, I hit up the track today again after going stage 2...even though I said I wouldn't go until I got a tranny upgrade....I JUST HAD TO RACE!!! When I went a few months ago stock I ran a 14.2.... So I babied the car...and the times reflect that. Made 3 runs. Best time was a 13.730 @ 99.82 MPH, RT @ .111, 60' @ 1.887.
The best run for me though was the first one against a 2001 Corvette with "a few little things done" I pretty much smoked him until 1/8 mile mark where he caught me and pulled a 13.1 vs my 13.8..when I picked up my ticket the guy said "Shit man yer runnin with a nice vette! Good job!! I'de rather run a 13.7 and drive my car home than run a 13.3 and tow it home. Heres a video of my first run with that Vette for your veiwing pleasure. Z

Way to go man. Thats gotta feel good. I would be pissed if I was the owner of that Vette. haha You've done us proud.

Still love my 4 rings, but now all I see is stars.

Yeah, maybe I wasn't babying the car as much as I thought lol. I def slipped the clutch a lot better than last time I went to the track. Last time I went it seemed that every launch I did was really harsh, this time I got the hang of slipping the clutch out which made my launches A LOT smoother which might have made me feel like I was babying the car lol. And yes the owner of the vette WAS pissed!! I heard one of his friends ask him if he was "taking it easy" and the guy just looked away and shook his head!!! It was fun...but I made a promise to myself NOT TO RUN AGAIN until either I can afford to pay for a broken tranny or have PPG's in.

Thats awesome! Thats just like my boy and his mustang a couple years back getting his doors blown off by a Subie wagon at the strip. He cried, I laughed, and eventually bought a Subaru. He has yet to ride in it.

Still love my 4 rings, but now all I see is stars.
