question about launching

hi im going to the 1/4 mile strip next friday i have a 08 wrx...should i leave teh traction control on so i dont hurt the tranny or what and i need some good tips i hope i get a good time i have a 3 inch turbo back exhaust front mount intercooler perrin intake perrin crank pulley and perrin stage 3 map...i have read some of the threads i just wanna see if there some more advice and if i should leave my traction control on

i would go with no... my car (04 wrx) doesnt even traction control, and it hooks up perfectly fine without it. make sure to slip the clutch instead of dumping it, there is a whole writeup on here on how to do it

1st time at the track, SUCKED!!!

practice a couple of times in a parking lot or something before you go to the track

yea definetely dont use the traction control. You will see swlower times with it on.
