Either better driving would/could be a start, seeing as you didnt list his mods or power level. Or possibly a bigger turbo and supporting mods.

Evo Mr Mods That Beat My Sti

From what I could see he had a after market Front mount intercooler, N1 style exhaust, and a pretty decked out interior alot more thatn stock parts inside ie piller gauges. I completly destroyed him off the line by at least 2 car lengths it was the top end part that killed me, he ended up passing me at or around 100 mph a little before the 1/4 mark.

If you were both at a stock turbo, the 16G has a bit more top end power than the vf-39. Since you got him by that much off the line I'd say it's more the cars than the drivers. You could pop a bigger turbo in there that will give you much more power. He could of also had a good protune that could've contributed to the higher top end.

I'd say and 18 or 20G. You should run probably 650cc injectors in the 18G and 750cc in the 20G. For both you'll need a 250lph fuel pump, Walboro most likely. You also should look into a FMIC and of course a protune.

+1 to the 20g turbo and 750cc injectors, your car would be a great running car with that setup make sure to get a protune as well like he said you can do all that stuff for under 3k as well

+1 for the 20g. I'd suggest DW 880cc injectors with a Walbro 255 for that extra head room. Hallman Pro MBC, FMIC, protune *there won't be an OTC tune for all of this.

I'd also suggest a lightweight flywheel, lightweight crank pulley, upgraded clutch, GO CATLESS ALREADY!, oh and start saving for some gears possibly.

He's right. You need to at least post your times pls.

How's your clutch? Just wondering because if it's starting to go it can cost you a lot. The 6-speed can handle quite a bit so you could go with something grippier if your power levels are reasonable (stage 2 is quite reasonable). I run a "stage 2" clutch on my 6-speed.

he clearly states that he's racing the guy in the 1/4 mile, is there somewhere in the "rules" that states you MUST post times if talking about racing??? 20G all the way, with supporting mods and you would put a hurtin on him.

No, it's up to mod judgment if he's actually talking about a track or just adding "on a track" at the end of his street racing stories. Posting a slip though kind of makes the debate go away, no?

Please PM me for further discussion on this issue. Discussing moderation on the forum is frowned upon.

WRXKidid775 is more helpful than not
There is a reason I bought an Evo instead of the STi. They make nasty power for cheap. Your extra half a liter will help you down low, but he can rev all the way up to 8500 rpms when you are shifting well before that. All evos have a FMIC, so unless you saw ARC or AMS or some other brand plastered on it they are kinda hard to tell if it is aftermarket or not.

I miss my evo.

^^ That's why I bought the WRX instead of the STi. They shift sooner than I have to and they respond better to modifications IMHO.
