How to run a 12.xxx

I have an 04 WRX, what does it take to get to the 12 second range (1/4 mile). Is it possible on the stock turbo or is a bigger turbo and intercooler needed?

it takes a lot of money and about 320 whp to get into the 12's area. ive never seen any one on a stock trubo run 12s, but i remeber some one on here seriously talking about it.

There are people who run 12s on the stock turbo, but there's not many. It probably takes as much investment to run it on the stock turbo as it would to run it with a bigger turbo.

iwrxit ran a 12.960 with a stock turbo. Here's his setup

I just want to be able to take my friends STi and an M3, not too much to ask for

i got a 1.72 60' foot and only managed a 13.2 @101.8 . but i have got a 13.07 before. trying so hard to get into the 12's w stock turbo. do you guys have a header? what engine management and what psi? im only using accessport now. and the top run boost only maxed at 15.5... and of course i run at atco so these times were with wet tires. (you cant avoid wetbox).

and for those worried about there trannys. i have 48 launches at the track on the stock 02 gears

here are some slips

sure it can be done with a stock turbo, but it's much easier with a bigger turbo. my wagon should be in the 12's now.
