First day at the track today

Today was the annual Exeter Subaru customer appreciation day at New England Dragway in Epping, NH. I made my first trips down the strip ever, and am pretty happy with the results. Had a blast playing and made about 10 runs total. This was my best and last run of the day.

Dude you sure thats right? A 12.9 1/4mile wit state 2 parts? Thats real good. Nice job.

Cosmo 06-22-2005 08:11 AM

That's almost 3/4 of a second faster than the fastest Stage 2 time I've ever seen...

mosc 06-22-2005 12:49 PM

it is an STi not a WRX correct? I mean, 12.9 for a WRX at stage 2 is crazy but for an STi, shouldn't be THAT insane, right? I mean, stock STi is quoted at 13.2

Cosmo 06-22-2005 01:59 PM

Ahh... gotcha. I didn't see that it was an STi.

Hooked on Phonics apparently did not work for me...

IBAUCLAPlaya 06-22-2005 02:07 PM

Nice run!

wrxtacy19 06-23-2005 09:14 AM

sry didnt see it was an STi either. But still 12.9 with a regular of the shelf cobb map? or is it a custom map with the street tuner? Any ways nice driving.

T WREX 06-24-2005 12:23 AM

It's the COBB shelf map with the addition of a Perrin short ram. Custom UTEC tune to come soon.

I agree it's not too impressive in terms of ET. The end of the day was the first time I was able to get my 60' times into the 1.8s. I was however really impressed with the 107mph trap, especially from an off the shelf map. I think I should be around 12.7 or so with a low 1.8 launch and 107 trap.

Orbit 06-26-2005 02:29 PM

his time was 12.961@103.68 with a 1.738 sixty foot.

if that was your first time at the track trust me. you will improve! !Thumbs Up

Went back again tonight:

60': 1.819
330: 5.309
1/8: 8.225
MPH: 84.22
1000: 10.749
1/4: 12.891
MPH: 105.45

This was my best of 4 runs of the night. New tires (BFG KDW). Later in the season the track is in so much better shape. I was expirementing with shift points all night, and this run was with shifting at 6700 every gear. Didn't want to push too hard because my injectors are going static at redline on my UTEC tune. PE850s and walbro to go in next week. :D
