12.01 on vf52
I was shooting for 11.7s so i could beat the sti record too but i dont think its gonna happen without some smaller wheels, better rubber, colder temps, exh wastegate etc. Here are the pics and i will have videos up soon on youtube. Dont ever let anyone tell you spt cbe are restrictive on small turbos cause this is proof they work just fine. Plus i dont attract cops.

What turbo blanket is that? Thinking about one over my heat shield, especially now that I'm ewg.

djc1827 05-22-2010 09:07 PM

I dont remember what brand but i paid like $150 thru my tuner and i had to cut it to fit around int wastegate...pretty annoying

i def think smaller wheels and better rubber will do your wrx good. Nice times.

newtothegame 05-23-2010 12:29 PM

Congrats on the time man. Other than rims, whats in store for the car?

djc1827 05-23-2010 01:25 PM

I have some super light 17s but i dont know if i wanna drop the money on drag radials which are about $150 tire. I might do co2 intercooler spray but who knows. Im happy with my setup now. Ive been doing auto x once a great while for something different to do so i might do drilled and slotted rotors cause my car didnt come equipped with brembos. Only thing im not happy bout is the stock brakes. Suspension is great on the 09s.

Lol 150 per tire is cheap man.... you can always look at nitto. I forget which ones but they have dot drag radials at a good price. If you get into open track days or autox you'll spend a fortune in track tires aka 240+ per corner for the good rubber... Not to mention the extra wheels that you have covered. Oh and depending on the track you go through a set or two per season.

djc1827 05-23-2010 05:23 PM

You just have to know where to buy tires....tirerack, firestone, kost, all garbage. or

Bf Goodrich Drag radials are cheaper than nitto usually and work great.

hey excellent time there buddy, dont know if you are far away frm queens NY ### i am hitting up E/Town next week end to do some bracket racing in the sport compact competition.I think we may be putting down ard the same power if i was to rate my dyno numbers to a MD, i read 383WHP an373 TQ on a dynojet.I will also be running some much lighter wheels 14.4 lbs compare to what i have on now 22 lbs.

Nice run....
Is the RT 1.04 or 1.84, I can't read it.....
On your launches, what kind of RPMs are you leaving at and how much is the clutch locking up?

I'm trying to get an idea on launching, I'm going to hit the track up here later this summer and have never dragged an AWD or manual trans....!Laugh!
