1/4 09 wrx
this isnt bragging because the car is basically bone stock but i remember people ripping on a guy with a 09 wrx saying it was the track or the numbers are wrong or something.

did about 6 runs, 55-60 degrees out, elevation 1100ft, all pretty close times, best was .59 reaction, 1.87 60ft, 8.58 1/8 mile at 80.32MPH and 13.38 1/4 mile at 100.65

Event: quarter mile
Location: Dragway 42, West Salem Ohio
Ambient Temp: 58
Elevation: 1100
Weather: night time, cool, dry
Track and Conditions: concrete i think with tar over lay, flat track
Tires: stock dunlops

Car: 2009, wrx
Fuel: pump unleaded Sunoco 93 with 1/2 tank of gas
Engine/Power Modifications: Perrin light weight pulley, resonator in factory exhaust removed
Drive Train: Perrin SS
Suspension Modifications: Whiteline rear diff inserts, Perrin subframe lock down kit

pretty good times, how were you launching the car? You can bring that 60ft down some more as well, is your car tuned? The MPH seems like it could also be a little higher as well. Other than that not to bad.

smoothly letting off at about 5-5500rpm, tryin to slip and be nice to the tranny. ive seen a bone stock 09 run 12.9 at 102mph and 13.1 at 101mph.

that was stock besides the light weight pulley. im at 17psi 290hp 311tq now with catted TBE, CAI, UP, 255 pump, LWP and 3-port ebcs. im going back catless for a look at 300hp and XXXtq. then hitting the track. hoping for 12.6 1/4

Start staving for the tranny fund :(

Good luck!

only go to the track once, twice a year. tuners seen 350+ torque out of them with no prob if you know how to drive with at least a stage 1 clutch. im totally not worried about the tranny. OEM clutch however i no ill replace in the not so distant future.

I wouldn't do the clutch, stock tranny stock clutch man. At least you're keeping the weak link there and not in a gear. On a side note, it took you five months to tell us you took the 09 to the strip? Shame on you.

I just noticed that my stock clutch is starting to slip once and awhile under hard driving. I have been running the 20G with the original clutch for about 10,xxx miles now, the car has 29,xxx total on it. I do agree with keeping the stock clutch tho, but some do upgrade to stage 1 with no ill effect. I wouldnt change your clutch until you need to.

Ok you sounded like you were gonna do the clutch. Honestly just start saving for upgraded gears... I'm thinking that's what I'll do. Hopefully by the time my tranny blows I'll have a few g's saved up.

synolimit 03-07-2010 10:20 PM

I cant wait!! im like 66 more HP over stock and like 81 more TQ! strip opens in 20 more days, Hello 12's, how ya doin?

man show 03-09-2010 07:35 AM

djc1827 03-17-2010 04:10 PM

quit making him paranoid about his old scooby guys are just jealous cause we got a better legacy gt trans

People have had trans problems with bone stock cars...its all how you drive and a little bad luck. I plan on using stock clutches as well and i wont be running 20psi for my tires either like i did with my old car

synolimit 03-17-2010 07:53 PM

im not worried, i can drive and theres others with more power than me doing the same thing, longer with way more miles and there all fine.

man show 03-17-2010 11:06 PM

We can all drive, my friend. Go ahead, keep adding power. Enjoy it until it breaks and then build it stronger. It's part of the game. Gotta pay to play.
