Its all about the driver. 6.2sec is more of a realistic time if you ask me.

It all depends on how good/how harsh your launch is. Im sure to get a 5.4 you have to rev real high and let the clutch slip like a mofo. The 6.2 was probably easier on the engine.

My manual says 6.1. Car and Driver says 5.4. Fast-Autos.net says 5.7. I've heard 5.2. I don't know what's right at this point. I just go with the number in the middle. I say around 5.7.

Doesnt Subaru advertise as 5.4 0-60? well i think 0-60 is bragging rights ### no matter what you do in real life driving u dont need to to go that fast....also i see it more of number that can be achieved and is capable of doing 5.4 sec but not really suggested....

It was a pretty credible source I forget the name of the magazine or where I read it because it was quite some time ago but thats what I have been going by when people ask how fast it goes. I am sure if your really interested which after reading this I was and so I looked around online and it was pretty consistently said to do 5.62 so I am sure you could find out how fast your car does 0-60.

My AP read 5.07 a couple weeks ago. Not that hard of a launch. I read in a couple magazines that the 5.3 time is a hard launch. You also have to consider yur mods and shifter as well. I know my stock shifter and bushings were a load of garbage.

the shift lever, short shifter, bushing etc will have almost no effect on actual times. its all feel and personal preference.

there is no ONE 0-60 time. for any car. the same car with the same driver could have a wide range of 0-60 times. you have to take into consideradtion track temp, tire temp, engine temp, air temp. a difference in ambient air temp of 5 degreed will chance your 0-60 time. did you just take a shit? did you eat a large breakfast. how much fuel is in the tank. aaaallllll these things make a difference.

It was the factory one when I bought it... I've had my shifter in for 6 months now.

Mike, I beg to differ on the shifter..... I can tell you right now and I will take my shifter and bushings over ANY factory WRX. You are correct on all the other if/ands/buts..... And I usually have a 40oz in my lap with a little more than a 1/4 tank. The feel of the shifts are a BIG difference IMHO
