you should have no problem beating a 350z with no mods to your car. my buddy has a 07 and i smoked him on a closed course too wink wink. i dunno if youd beat one with A wrx stock but def a sti no problem
I have run, on a real track..., an unmodded 2004 350Z when I was only a Stg.1 OTS map from Cobb and our times were almost the same, his MPH was slightly higher and I never did get a good launch. but all in all a nice car, 0 complaints about them and I have driven his car a few times.

How fast did you guys get going? I have always thought that after 100mph or so the extra cylinders and displacement coupled with a sleeker aerodynamic profile the Z would start pulling on you. Not to mention after 115 or so our 4 cylinders start running out of steam. Just a theory I have had...
I have raced a few 350s at the 1/8th mile track where I live and always beat them. I just have stage 2 on my 07 tr. There is one that beats me but the guy owns a speed shop and has twin turbo and lots of other stuff done.
That Sti is the hottness..only one around here that could take me(other than that one with the 35r...wow)That z is doing pretty good against a car with that much rolling power
