2011 STPR Rally Pics

I have some random photos on here, but will provide a link to see more.

Some of the Rally drivers just sitting around before day 1 of the rally.

Some photos of David Higgins engine bay. He had to replace a speed sensor before the first stage. So, if you see wrenches and such. That's why and it gave me a chance to see under the hood.

The top 3 open class cars: David Higgins (Mirra's factory teammate), Dave Mirra, and Antoine L'Estage.

Ford's backed fiesta

Mirra rolled his car 1 1/2 times on stage 7 and these pictures were at the service stop after it. He fell way behind, but ended up taking 5th. While Higgins edged out L'Estage for the rally win. Enjoy the pics.

I'll put up some youtube videos from the rally in the next coming days. I just need enough time at the end of a day of work or I'll do it on my day off.

I looked it up. Rally America

1st: David Higgins 2011 STI Open Class
2nd: Antoine L'Estage 2009 EVO Open Class
3rd: Ramana Lagemann 2011 STI Super Production
4th: Travis Hanson 2007 STI Super Production
5th: David Mirra 2011 STI Open Class
6th: Chris Greenhouse 1995 Dodge Neon 2WD class
7th: Brian Gottlieb 1989 Honda Civic 2WD class
8th: Dillon Van Way 2011 Ford Fiesta 2WD class
9th: Wyatt Knox 2008 Mazda Speed 3 2WD class

A lot of cars didn't finish. STPR is a rough rally. 42 cars started the race and only 9 offically finished each stage without a DNF.

Paul: I saw the car and figured you'd like to see a rally MS3. lol. Did you see these pics in the link?

They have that and the final national event in the New England Rally. That'll determine who is the Rally America overall winner. I'm praying its Higgins and not L'Estage again.

The closest thing to that in California is the X Games Rally and Rallycross events. That is in LA. Which...If the mechanic for Mirra's service crew was right. Then they well be moving the event back to the old location, not the place they did it at last year. Which was too small and stupid. The Home Depot Center; Thats where the previous events were at. Lets hope so. That and the engines last this year vs the 7 engine failures they had last year.
