Monday Night SOIC 'Summer Meet & Greet' is back at Sonic Drive In!

Join us once again as we enter warm nights and bigger draws to our weekly meet. It is held on Monday nights at 7:30 PM at the Central Point Sonic Drive In. Easy I-5 access and plenty of room for us. See you there!

I have had fellow co-workers and customers naggin' me to organize a club in Southern Oregon for a couple years. So, I am rising to the challenge and gonna make it happen!

We want to start with weekly 'meet & greets' on Monday evenings and start to plot what members would like from us. Auto-X, Time/Distance Rallies, Monte Carlo Style Rallies, Bar-B-Que Shine & Show??? Let's figure it out ~

We will meet every Monday night @ 7:30 PM at the Medford Sonic Burger.

Well, we had a few new cars this week. How about a 2 day old 2008 STI with over 800 miles on it already!!! He hit nearly every damn good road in Orgeon and was living on about 3 hours sleep...

Also, picked up a 2001 RS coupe, very clean with somme newer WRX wheels.

Then of course there were the guys from the last meet. If we keep this up, by the time we hit warm weather we should be pretty damn strong as a group. If you haven't made it out yet and you're in our area, drop in on any Monday night @ 7:30 PM!

This Monday evening is 'photo night'. After burgers we will roll here to take shots of member's cars!

Great meet tonight, even picked up a couple new members. It was sort of 'Silver WRX Wagon Night' with three of them showing up. Also, our token 2008 STI with only 2800 miles on it was tested for offroad capabilies dodging a deer since our last meet. Tore the passenger side up quite a bit. Those with sharp eyes will see I flipped the image, so we didn't have to shoot the bum side!

Well, we had a couple of new sweet rides appear this week. Thanks Bo, Dallas and Kyle for joining us ~ here a a few quick shots of the new arrivals. I left my real camera at home, so had to use a 'happy snappy'.
So, sorry for the POS quality. Also sorry to Kyle ~ I forgot to shoot your nice '02 WRB WRX Sedan... I'll catch ya on the next one with the Nikon!

It's time to catch up with all the new arrivals from the last month. We will meet @ Sonic next Monday 7:30 PM and after greeting and eating, roll to the parking structure for pictures of our new members! So, come with a clean and shiny car!

Due the rain that is falling on my head right now! I am going to let the spring weather settle down a bit and try it again on Monday Night April 7th ~ We will still be at Sonic tonight for burgers, just no camera until the 7th of April!

Hey WRXTUNERS!

Your invited to join us ~ April 27th for our 1st of many, Bar-B-Q / Picnics @ Emigrant Lake in Ashland, OR. I know some of you in Central Oregon & Northern California have wanted to join us for a weekend event ~ Well, now is your chance!

I pre-ran Dead Indian Road (our original 'Group Drive') yesterday. There is WAY too much cinder on the roads still. Our cars would be hammered. So, instead we are going to run the pear orchard roads along the foothills into Ashland and then on into Emigrant Lake and the Area 'B' group picnic area.

The pear orchards should be in full bloom by the 27th and more then one 'photo-op' should exist!

We will meet at 3:00 PM Sunday the 27th @ Sonic. We will have enough cars that we will need to use the double-sided lot on the South side of Sonic.
The group drive will roll at 3:30 PM up Vilas (right through the largest orchard) and right on Foothill to the Phoenix orchards.

I have reserved Group Area 'B'. We have room for 40 cars! I paid the $100 fee for the reservation. In turn, I would like to not have to worry about food/drink for myself (mooching). I must work Sunday and won't get to the lake till probably 5:30 PM. Fair enough?

I will provide maps/directions @ the Monday 21st Of April Sonic meet.

A few other points:

Booze is OK... Pets are NOT. Bring three dollars for the entrance fee @ the park. Fill your car before you arrive at Sonic on Sunday, so you are ready for the drive. Remember cooking utensils & condiments (don't count on them being there!).
