WRX pistons change smog?

Will changing pistons to aftermarket forged pistons , stock bore, and stock compression. will this change my outcome when i go to smog my car?

my engine failed over a year back, and im finally having the motor built, everything is pretty much ordered other then the pistons and crank and rod bearings.

I was lookin at the Wiseco 92mm pistons. Thanks

o yea, and after i pass smog, i am going to be putting a full turboback exhaust with a cobb ap ( i had this setup before and its plenty for what i am lookin for).

No they wont in your case and since your staying with stock compression really. I would really go with CP forged pistons or JE. The thing about Wiseco you will have a little more piston slap with the engine is cold those pistons have always been like that but it is up to you man.

Give those guys a call, they are GREAT to deal with I have bought 2 STI shortblocks from them and they are super nice people. I also bought my CP pistons from them. So give them a call and they will hook you up man.

Even with the weiscos all you had to do is let the car warm up before you romp on it as with many aftermarket pistons but i do agree CP or JE would be a better option. Even if you change the compression it should not affect your smogablity as long as you have no codes in your ECU you should be set.
