new to boxer motors, quick question

I have picked up a 02 wrx and want to swap in a ej255, for some nice reliable power. my question is I have a ej251 out of a 01 imprezza rs and heads out of a 04 forester dohc turboed ej255. can I take the ej251 block and swap in new pistons and rods, and slap on the heads and call it a ej255? thanks in advance.

Open deck vs semi-closed deck. Not the same.

And the engine won't produce any more power, just more torque with a set of given mods.

they do all bolt together though, just not sure what you'd call what you got out of it in the end.
