i have heard of using a thicker head gasket to solve compression issues in hybrid engines.

You can bolt those heads right to the block using stock gaskets. The issue is with tuning. Granted machining the heads for the 2.5L bore helps, but the right tune and plugs will help. I hope he doesn't simply plan to just drive around with the car that way.

Ok so my question is if I do this swap would it be ok to put the twin turbo on? And how would it be as a daily driver

twin turbo you can kiss DD goodbye. this could just be me, but i dont personally know of many twin turbos, let alone many reliable twin turbos in the subaru community. maybe a handful.
