High RPMs

So check it out, im in the market for an 02 or 03 wrx. I come from Hondas so im used to high revving VTEC motors or VTAK as some of you may say. My point is, does any one have any expierence building a high revving EJ20 or know anyone who does? Also if anyone knows of any good reading material on this please let me know. Im not wanting to make an 11,000 RPM wrx more like 8,000 RPMs. Im curiouse to see what all is needed to build a EJ20 to spin safely to 8,000 RPMs. I dont want any stroker kits since, shorter strokes mean higher RPMs. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Pick Two.

Buy a JDM EJ207 setup. They are good for an 8K redline right out of the box and can run 24 PSI on the stock internals. You will also need a bigger turbo if you want to use those high revs. The stock turbo would just fall on its face. At that point you are looking at GT30r country to get enough flow on the top end.

you lose.

high revs with a big turbo = lots more power than your small turbo makes down low.
