EJ207?

Hey i have a v4 Wrx STI ej20. Blew a bottem end bearing and have found a EJ207 long block includes:

inlet manifold {complete}
power steering pump
injectors
Clutch
flywheel.

Just wanted some advice on how easy the swap is, and my ej20 is still a mint as engine so any options on just using the 207 block or something?

Cheers, any advice be much appreciated

ok, so i dont know much about your situation myself but still tried searching it the other day for ya, search the ej207 on here, nasioc and on co.uk wrx sites. I found a ton of info and a few people that have done the swap, mostly because of the 8000rpm thing. that seems to be one of the major upsides to it.
well, good luck and happy searching

I guess I'm the defacto authority on the swap here at this site, PM me any questions you might have

Get the EJ207's ECU if you can. It'll save you a lot of hassle.

actually I wouldn't go through that trouble, because then you need the harness, you can just not plug in the AVCS and it will always opperate in high lift mode

Matt, when I was researching this for him (the most that I could without digging too deep)I had saw that you would be the man to ask but didnt want to overstep boundries, so im glad you stepped up to the plate...props, also i was on nasioc earlier and noticed that there is a place in their just for swap topic discussion, so that would be another great place to look......
